If you are feeling completely well with no signs such as pain, burning, unusual discharge, or rashes, you can request an Online STI Screen without needing an appointment.

If you have symptoms, questions, are immunocompromised, pregnant, or have been advised that a partner has tested positive, you should book a Telehealth STI Test to speak directly with a Specialist GP. They will help you decide on the most suitable testing and treatment options.

STI testing in Sydney typically includes a urine sample and a blood test. If you engage in vaginal, oral, or anal sex, self-collected swabs can be included. No fasting is necessary, and the process is quick and easy. If swabs are required, the pathology nurse will guide you through how to collect them privately.

Most people receive their results within 2 to 3 days, although in some areas it can take up to 7 days. Results are sent to you by SMS as soon as they’re ready.

If you receive a positive result, please book an URGENT Telehealth STI Treatment Consult. A Specialist GP will call you at your appointment time to discuss the best treatment, arrange follow-up testing, and guide you on notifying any recent partners. Prescriptions are issued by eScript and can be filled at any pharmacy across Australia.

Yes. STI testing is available right across Greater Sydney, including Western Sydney, South West Sydney, and the Northern Beaches. If you live in areas such as Parramatta, Penrith, Campbelltown, Blacktown, or Liverpool, you can walk into your local pathology lab for same-day testing once your referral has been sent by SMS.

Yes. Our service is available across major regional centres in NSW. After receiving your SMS referral, you can attend your nearest pathology lab in towns such as Newcastle, Wollongong, Wagga Wagga, Coffs Harbour, and Tamworth. No appointment is needed – just walk in with your referral.

Yes – all STI testing through our service is completely confidential. Your results will not be added to your My Health Record unless you ask us to. You also have the option to be tested without using Medicare or private health insurance, which allows for maximum privacy. All records are managed by Australian-registered Specialist GPs under strict privacy protocols and are never disclosed without your permission.

Yes. Every September, as part of Sexual Health Awareness Month, we offer FREE Online STI Screens in Sydney (no appointment required).

PLEASE NOTE: The pathology tests themselves are bulk billed for eligible Medicare card holders with no out-of-pocket cost to you.

If you do not have Medicare, additional pathology fees may apply. However, some private health insurers or OSHC (overseas student health cover) may cover part or all pathology fees. Please check with your insurer for details.
