If you have symptoms, questions, are immunocompromised, pregnant, or have been exposed to a partner with an STI, you should book a Telehealth STI Test. A Specialist GP will talk to you directly to ensure the right tests and follow-up are arranged.
What does STI testing in Perth involve?
Testing usually includes a urine sample and a blood test. If you engage in vaginal, oral or anal sex, you may also be asked to collect self-swabs from these areas. The test process is fast, private, and doesn’t require fasting beforehand. A pathology nurse will explain how to perform any swabs if they’re needed.
How soon will I receive my STI test results in Perth?
Results are generally ready within 2 to 3 days, although in some parts of WA it may take a little longer. Your results will be sent to you via SMS as soon as they’re processed.
